In Isaiah’s vision, the people of God are busy building a highway for His return, keeping watch over His people, and filling their lives with praise and prayer. The promised Servant would arrive, but a period of waiting 500 years would take place first. This period was designed to expose the hearts of the people, and encourage them to repent and prepare for the arrival of the Servant, Jesus.

The Servant’s work cultivates worship in God’s people and the offer of forgiveness is available to any who call on his name, and His name is Jesus.

This Servant will suffer for His people and blot out their transgressions. This Servant is Jesus and Isaiah prepared Israel for His arrival.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from Isaiah 45-48. These chapters display the supremacy of God over all creation and how that supremacy impacts Babylon and His people. The prophet declared that Cyrus the Persian would release the Hebrews from Babylonian exile and fund the rebuilding of their homeland. This news was unexpected and challenged the Hebrews to trust God even when His plan was different from their plan.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from Isaiah 42-44. These chapters explore the way God leads His people through tribulation to expose their spiritual blindness. The prophet also gives good news about the end of exile in Babylon and encourages His readers to see the gospel presentation. These chapters finish with an examination of idolatry and the foolishness of serving false gods.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from Isaiah 40-42. These chapters reveal God’s plan of setting the Hebrew captives free, but also His ultimate plan of setting the captive world free. Isaiah boldly declares that God’s plan is supreme and it includes comfort and provision for His people in the midst of tribulation.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from Isaiah 36-39. These chapter mark the end of the Assyrian saga and the beginning of the Babylonian exile. Isaiah never saw the exile in person, but he spent his final years preparing the people for suffering and witnessing God’s faithfulness. The message during the Assyrian invasion and the exile was trust God; the same message for the modern church.
