It is important to ask the Holy Spirit to examine our hearts and expose our allegiance to tradition because we can’t be faithful to traditions and faithful to God at the same time.

As Christians today, we can avoid repeating this religious behavior by remembering that a disciple of Jesus doesn't use the Word of God as a weapon to hurt others or to justify withholding mercy from those who need it most.
