What’s the thing you refuse to forfeit?
Have you counted the cost and have you found yourself following a false gospel?
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from Isaiah 13-14. These chapters capture the oracles against Babylon and the song of taunt against the king. These chapters remind us that God will not tolerate pride and arrogance among the nations and will execute judgement on wickedness. The language of these chapters tell the story of a God who goes to war against sin, and how He expects His people to follow Him.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches through Isaiah 9-12. These chapters cover the promised king, Jesus, and God’s punishment for the sins of Judah and Assyria. These chapters teach us that God is supreme over all nations at all times, and He works His purposes for our good and His glory.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from Isaiah 7-8. These chapters cover the Syro-Ephraimite war and a very important decision for King Ahaz. Isaiah told Ahaz to rest and do nothing about the rival nations of Syria, Israel, and Assyria — God would save His people. Did Ahaz trust in the Lord or make foreign alliances with worldly kings to experience a temporary victory, but a long-term defeat? The king’s decision teaches us about trusting God and how disobedience impacts multiple generations.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from Isaiah 5-6. These chapters include a parable about the vineyard of Judah and the call of Isaiah. Judah was producing rotten grapes in God’s vineyard because they were consumed with sin and lived with a lack of knowledge. God called Isaiah to preach to the people, but warned him that the message would harden their hearts and lead to exile. The word was designed to burn away the sin and purify their life. These chapters echo the gospel message and shed light on how Christians should follow Jesus.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from Isaiah 2-4. These chapters contrast what the earth will look like in the latter days with what the people of God looked like at the time of Isaiah. Judah was filled with excess and exalted humanity above God in their daily lives. God has a long track record of humbling human exaltation, and this message is just as applicable today than when it was written.
In this message, Pastor Marshall outlines the history surrounding Israel and Judah during the time of Isaiah, and teaches through Isaiah chapter 1. This chapter includes an indictment against the nation for idol worship, lacking knowledge, and forsaking justice. This prophecy is just as applicable today as it was 2700 years ago.
