In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from 2 Corinthians 11. In this chapter, Paul continues his response to the critics in Corinth. He answers some of the accusations leveled against him, but he also exposes how foolish they sound. His critics love to brag about their credentials, so Paul brags too. However, Paul brags on his weakness and it reinforces the value of humility over pride.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from 2 Corinthians 10. In this chapter, Paul responds to the critics in Corinth that have been questioning his authority. His response teaches us how to walk in humility but speak with boldness, tear down false ideologies, and measure our success against the standard of Jesus.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from 2 Corinthians 8-9. These chapters expose the laziness of the Corinthian church in the area of giving. Paul was collecting money for the persecuted church in Jerusalem and Corinth was dragging their feet in supporting the effort. Paul reminds them of Jesus’ attitude toward giving and encourages them to live more open-handed lives. Giving supports the needs of God’s family, but it also enlarges our heart and maturity.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from 2 Corinthians 6-7. These chapters contrast the joys and afflictions of Christian discipleship. Paul also reminds the church to live in unity, and avoid entanglements with the world that would compromise their obedience. These chapters encourage us to follow Paul’s example of living an open life with fellow believers and experiencing the joy of that life.
In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from 2 Corinthians 4-5. These chapters continue Paul’s perspective on the Christian life, ministry, and our hope in Jesus. He uses metaphors to communicate deep truths about the treasure of Jesus in clay vessels, and our glorified bodies fit for eternity. He concludes chapter 5 with a reminder that every person will be judged for the things they did, good or bad. This reality is designed to keep our eyes on Jesus and get busy on building His kingdom.

Paul introduces his views on Christian ministry in chapter 3 and continues through chapter 6. Today, we learn how God uses His people as a sweet aroma of salvation in the world, and how Christians should stare at Jesus to be changed from glory to glory.

In this message, Pastor Lyell teaches from Genesis chapters 48-50. These chapters wrap up our study on the book of Genesis. They also show us how Jacob adopts Joseph’s two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, and blesses his 12 sons. At the very end of chapter 50, Joseph tells his brothers that what they meant for evil, God intended for good. Indeed, the entire message of Genesis is that while humans struggle to follow God, he is working all things out for our good.
