Date: November 5, 2017

Summary: In Revelation 2, Jesus tells the church in Ephesus that they forgot their first love. In 1 Corinthians 11, Paul reminds the church to celebrate communion to remember Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation the Bible is filled with stories of God saving His people, and they forget just a few chapters later. Remembering God is a big part of walking by faith. In this message series, we look at how King David preached to himself as a way to remember God and persevere through tragedy.

This week we read through Psalm 42 and learn how to "Hope in God."

Summary: Many different authors wrote the Bible over thousands of years. It tells God’s story of love for His people, and He still speaks through it today. We can’t read the Bible like a fiction book, a newspaper, or even a website. This book requires us to pray before we read, read with a humble heart, reflect on what we hear, and respond with deep conviction. This message series helps us read the Bible with an open heart.
